(Noragami) Blighted Past: Chapter 02"Bishamonten", that was her name and the first word anyone had ever spoken to her. It sounded rather odd. A name to be feared she assumed, the strongest god of combat's name, her name. It meant so much- to be bestowed a few symbols, characters stringed together to form the first window to who a person is or was supposed to be. She didn't know how she knew; it just felt vital… as if her only chance at something similar to leading a pseudo-life depended entirely on her willingness to hold on to it. It was her predecessor's most precious legacy, a tag upon her very core and a limit she was not to cross unless she wanted to defy her own definition.(Noragami) Blighted Past: Chapter 02 by thestarsburnedmysoul
Her name was a conduct code. Intuitively, she understood that it drew her frame as a spiritual existence crafted out of countless believers' renewed hopes and dreams, the reason she was to be and the purpose she now ought to fulfill. It held people's expectations, their desires and her duties. But, something about it made her somewhat asha

Liar, that's all she was. A laying old hag with overly big boobs, a crazy headstrong stalker who did things her way even when it would eventually lead to catastrophic results, a smug nutshell who'd deliberately jump into the underworld thinking she –strongest god of combat- could take on hell, heroically saving the nobody who had already rescued her not once but twice. What a shame; he bothered to save her twice and on both unlucky occasions he got to walk out beaten up, limbs sore, only gaining a throbbing headache and a few battle scars in the process.
Yet, despite it all, she still managed to screw everything up. The everlasting fights, the long decades-no, centuries he'd spent running through Japan with her and her numerous shinki in hot pursuit, the years he wasted fleeing her vendetta-thirsty glares whilst she dedicated her 'immortal' existence to erasing his 'wicked spirit' off the

“Get away from it! You’re gonna get corrupted!” Daikoku yelled at Kazuma from the safety of the Boundary.
“She’s not a Phantom, I’m telling you!” Kazuma’s answer was filled with despair. His words brought Yukine’s memories of the time he had almost become a Phantom to the surface. Bypassing the older man, he broke through the Boundary and ran to Kazuma.
“We can hold an Ablution! We can save her!”
“Yukine! What are you doing? You’re gonna get us both killed!” Daikoku couldn’t believe the dire turn of events. Her cries had risen in pitch, the soundtrack of a disaster about to happen. Daikoku knew that it wasn’t going to work. He understood that they might actually get killed.
“Daikoku, please, help us!” Dark sapphire orbs, wet with tears, stared back at him, hammering his defenses down. Yukine’s resolve to help, visible in the way he stood by the couple’s

With every sob that escaped her lips, he could see the blight spreading, like a dark wave covering her skin. He watched horrified as the repulsive eyes multiplied, glaring around filled with evil intentions. She didn’t seem to notice even the little screeches echoing from under her yukata, consumed as she was by her own grief, drowning in guilt and fear.
He knew in that moment that the reason Bishamon’s health had declined that much was because of her. He wanted to help her. He had to help her, or else she’d die. Now that he had found her, he’d lose her. Again.
And she’d take Bishamon with her.
He’d be left alone.
The blight was spreading so fast, as if the dam that had been holding it back had finally broken apart.
“Ka…zu… My Kazu don’t ever leave me again…” her voice echoed broken, syllables taking up that nerve-racking screeching tone used by the phantoms. The end is near
